Good protection, slight odor initially
The cover provides excellent protection against accidental burns and keeps dust away from the heater block. There was a slight rubber smell during the first few prints, but it dissipated quickly after a heat cycle.

Works as advertised
Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Keeps the heat in and protects fingers from accidental contact. I deducted one star only because the color is slightly different from the product image, but functionality is perfect.

Perfect fit for my P1S
This silicone sock fits the Bambu Lab P1S hotend perfectly. It was very easy to install and immediately helped stabilize the chamber temperature during ABS prints. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve thermal consistency.

Essential accessory for high-temp materials
If you are printing with Nylon or Polycarbonate, this is a must-have. It helps maintain a more consistent nozzle temperature by reducing heat loss to the surrounding air. The quality of the silicone feels durable.

Great value for the price
For such a low cost, this accessory adds a layer of safety and performance to my printer. Installation took less than a minute. No issues with clearance inside the print chamber.

Improved print quality
I noticed fewer warping issues on my large prints after installing this sock. The thermal stability seems much better. It's a simple upgrade that makes a noticeable difference.
Q: What is the maximum continuous temperature this can withstand?
A: Our high-temperature resistant silicone is rated for continuous operation up to 300°C (572°F), which covers the requirements for most consumer 3D printing filaments.
Q: Does this interfere with the part cooling fan?
A: No, the design is precision-molded to fit around the heater block without obstructing the part cooling fan duct or airflow paths on the P1S.
Q: Can I leave this on while printing PLA at lower temperatures?
A: Yes, you can leave it on for all material types. While it is most beneficial for high-temperature filaments like ABS or ASA, it also provides excellent dust protection and burn safety for PLA prints.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon as well?
A: This specific model is designed strictly for the P1S hotend geometry. While the X1 Carbon has a similar setup, we recommend checking our specific X1 series listing to ensure a perfect fit.
Q: How often should I replace the silicone sock?
A: Under normal usage, the sock should last for many months. We recommend inspecting it periodically for signs of tearing, excessive brittleness, or deformation, and replacing it if any damage is found.
