Good protection, slight odor initially
The cover provides excellent protection against accidental burns and keeps dust away from the heater block. There was a slight rubber smell during the first few prints, but it dissipated quickly after a heat cycle.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Keeps the heat in and protects fingers from accidental contact. I deducted one star only because the color is slightly different from the product image, but functionality is perfect.

Perfect fit for my P1S

Improved print quality
I noticed fewer warping issues on my large prints after installing this sock. The thermal stability seems much better. It's a simple upgrade that makes a noticeable difference.
Q: What is the maximum continuous temperature this can withstand?
A: Our high-temperature resistant silicone is rated for continuous operation up to 300°C (572°F), which covers the requirements for most consumer 3D printing filaments.
Q: Does this interfere with the part cooling fan?
A: No, the design is precision-molded to fit around the heater block without obstructing the part cooling fan duct or airflow paths on the P1S.
Q: Can I leave this on while printing PLA at lower temperatures?
A: Yes, you can leave it on for all material types. While it is most beneficial for high-temperature filaments like ABS or ASA, it also provides excellent dust protection and burn safety for PLA prints.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon as well?
A: This specific model is designed strictly for the P1S hotend geometry. While the X1 Carbon has a similar setup, we recommend checking our specific X1 series listing to ensure a perfect fit.
