Essential for abrasive filaments
Switched to this hardened steel nozzle specifically for printing carbon fiber PLA. The standard brass nozzle wore out after just two spools, but this one shows no signs of wear after five spools. Print quality remains crisp and consistent.

Perfect fit for X1 Hotend
Installation was straightforward. The threading is precise, and there were no leaks during the initial calibration. Highly recommend if you plan on doing any engineering-grade materials.

Solid upgrade
Good product overall. Just remember to adjust your pressure advance settings slightly as the internal geometry can differ minutely from brass. Once tuned, prints are flawless.

Peace of mind
Even though I mostly print PLA, knowing I have a nozzle that can handle accidental abrasive contaminants gives me peace of mind. Worth the extra cost for the durability.

Great durability, slightly longer heat up
The build quality is excellent and fits my X1 Carbon perfectly. I noticed it takes a few seconds longer to reach target temperature compared to brass, likely due to the material density, but it's a negligible trade-off for the longevity.

No more clogs with glitter PLA
I love using glitter and metallic filaments, but they always destroyed my old nozzles. This hardened steel version handles them without any issues. The surface finish on prints is still very smooth.
Q: Can I use this nozzle with PETG filament?
A: Absolutely. While designed for abrasive materials, this hardened steel nozzle works perfectly fine with standard filaments like PETG, PLA, and ABS.
Q: Is this nozzle compatible with the Bambu Lab P1P printer?
A: Yes, this nozzle is compatible with the P1P, provided you are using the X1-style hotend assembly or have upgraded your P1P hotend to the X1 version.
Q: Do I need to change my slicing profile when switching to this nozzle?
A: Generally, no major changes are needed. However, for optimal results with abrasive materials, we recommend checking the specific filament manufacturer's temperature guidelines and potentially recalibrating flow rate.
Q: What is the expected lifespan compared to a brass nozzle?
A: With abrasive filaments like carbon fiber, a hardened steel nozzle can last 10 to 20 times longer than a standard brass nozzle. With non-abrasive filaments, it can last indefinitely under normal use.
Q: Does this come with a silicone sock?
A: No, this package contains only the hardened steel nozzle. The silicone sock is sold separately or may be included with your hotend assembly depending on your specific model.
