5 FAQ
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature for this heating block?
A: The aluminum heating block and hardened steel nozzle are rated for safe operation up to 300°C, which covers most common engineering filaments.
Q: Can I use this nozzle with abrasive materials like wood-fill PLA?
A: Absolutely. The hardened steel construction is specifically designed to resist wear from abrasive filaments like wood-fill, carbon fiber, and glow-in-the-dark materials.
Q: Does the package include a new silicone sock?
A: This specific kit includes the hotend assembly, nozzle, and heating block. A silicone sock is not included in this bundle but can be purchased separately.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my E-steps after installing this?
A: Generally, no. Since the extruder motor and drive gear remain unchanged, E-step calibration usually isn't necessary. However, we recommend running a flow rate test to ensure optimal settings.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Elegoo Neptune 3 non-Pro version?
A: Yes, this kit is fully compatible with the standard Elegoo Neptune 3, as well as the Pro and Plus models.
