Good for prototyping industrial controls
We used these for a quick prototype of a machine interface panel. They provide consistent analog readings which is crucial for our application. Not rated for heavy industrial continuous use, but perfect for development and evaluation.

Sturdy and reliable
I've used several cheap joysticks before that developed dead zones quickly. This YwRobot module feels much more durable. After two weeks of heavy testing in my RC car project, it still reads values accurately across the full range.

Perfect for DIY Drone Controllers
This joystick module is exactly what I needed for my Arduino-based drone project. The movement is smooth, and the precision is excellent for fine-tuning control inputs. The built-in button is a nice bonus for arming the motors.

Compact and precise
The form factor is small enough to fit into tight enclosures. The spring return mechanism is centered well, and the resistance feels balanced on both X and Y axes. Highly recommended for any gimbal control projects.

Great value for learning electronics
Bought this for a university robotics class. It works flawlessly with the standard Arduino libraries. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pins were not pre-soldered, but that's expected at this price point.

Easy to integrate
As someone new to embedded systems, I was worried about wiring this up. However, the pinout is standard, and there are plenty of tutorials online. It worked on the first try with my ESP32 board.
Q: What is the resistance value of the potentiometers inside?
A: The internal potentiometers have a resistance value of 10k Ohms, which is the standard value for most Arduino joystick examples and libraries.
Q: Is the center position automatically calibrated or do I need to code it?
A: The hardware provides raw analog values. You will need to read the values in your code and define the center threshold (usually around 512 for a 10-bit ADC) to account for minor variances.
Q: Does this module come with headers soldered?
A: No, the module comes with a separate pin header strip in the package so you can choose to solder them straight or at an angle depending on your project needs.
Q: Can this be used directly with a 3.3V microcontroller like the ESP8266?
