Good value, clear instructions needed
The sensor works well once wired correctly. I wish the pinout diagram was included in the box, but I found it online easily.

Works but cable is short
The module itself functions as described, but the attached wire is a bit short for some of my setups. Had to solder an extension.

Reliable component
I bought three of these for a line-following robot array. All three performed identically with no calibration issues.

Compact and efficient
Small form factor makes it easy to fit into tight spaces on custom PCBs. No overheating issues after hours of continuous use.
Q: Is this module compatible with 3.3V logic levels?
A: Yes, the module operates at 5V but the signal output is generally compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers like ESP32. However, we recommend checking your specific board's tolerance or using a level shifter for safety.
Q: What is the maximum detection range of this sensor?
A: As a laser head module for development, the effective range depends on the ambient light and the reflectivity of the target object. Typically, it performs best within 5cm to 30cm for precise detection tasks.
Q: Does this come with a mounting bracket?
A: The package includes the laser head module and connecting wires. Mounting brackets are not included, but the PCB has standard mounting holes for M2 screws.
Q: Can I use this outdoors?
A: This module is designed for indoor development and prototyping. Direct sunlight can interfere with the laser sensor's accuracy, and the unit is not weatherproof.
Q: Is the laser class safe for eyes?
A: This is a low-power Class 2 laser product. While generally safe for brief accidental exposure, you should never stare directly into the beam or point it at anyone's eyes.
