Reliable 9-axis data
The fusion of accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer data is very smooth. I used it for a VR head tracking prototype and the latency is minimal. Excellent product.

Exceeded expectations
I was worried about noise in the readings, but the internal filtering on the MPU-9255 handles it well. Great for balancing robots. Fast shipping too!

Great value for learning
Bought this for a university robotics project. It connects easily to Arduino and Raspberry Pi. The only downside is the documentation could be slightly more detailed for beginners, but online communities help.

Perfect for my custom quadcopter

Good sensor, needs careful wiring
The sensor itself is fantastic, but make sure you check your voltage levels before connecting to 5V logic boards. Once set up correctly with pull-up resistors, it performs perfectly.
Q: Does this come with example code?
A: The physical module does not include a physical manual with code, but there are extensive open-source libraries available on GitHub and the Arduino Library Manager that provide ready-to-run examples for reading all 9 axes.
Q: What is the difference between MPU-9250 and MPU-9255?
A: The MPU-9255 is an updated version of the MPU-9250 with improved performance in the magnetometer and better power management features. They are largely pin-compatible and use similar libraries, but the 9255 offers slightly better accuracy.
Q: Can I power this with 5V directly?
