Best budget development board
I bought three of these for my university project. They are incredibly cheap compared to official Nucleo boards but offer similar performance for basic tasks. Uploading code via ST-Link was seamless.

Good board, documentation could be better
Hardware is top-notch for the price. The only downside is that you need to know how to configure the clock settings manually if you aren't using the Arduino core. Once set up, it flies.

Exceeded expectations

Great value, minor soldering needed
The chip is genuine and runs at the specified 72MHz without issues. Note that the header pins are not pre-soldered on some batches, so be prepared to solder them yourself. Otherwise, a fantastic minimum system board.

A: It depends on the specific batch. Some come with headers soldered, while others ship without them to reduce shipping volume. Please check the product images or description at the time of purchase.
Q: Is this compatible with the Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, it is fully compatible. You need to install the STM32 board package by STMicroelectronics or the Maple Core in the Arduino Board Manager to get started.
Q: Does it support floating point arithmetic?
A: The STM32F103C8T6 uses a Cortex-M3 core which does not have a hardware Floating Point Unit (FPU). Floating point operations are handled in software, which is slower than on M4 or M7 cores.
Q: What is the maximum current this board can supply to peripherals?
A: The onboard LDO regulator can typically supply up to 200mA total for the board and connected peripherals. For high-current devices like motors, please use an external power source.
Q: Can I power this board directly via USB?
