Solid hardware, minor documentation gaps
The build quality is excellent and the pinout is standard. I deducted one star because the included PDF manual was a bit sparse on advanced peripheral setup, but online communities filled the gap quickly.

Good performance, runs cool
Running at 72MHz, this board handles multitasking well. It stays surprisingly cool even under load. The only downside is that the reset button is slightly small, but that's a minor complaint.

Perfect for learning ARM architecture
This board is exactly what I needed to transition from Arduino to STM32. The Type-C port is a huge plus, and it worked out of the box with the STM32duino bootloader. Great value for the price.

Best budget board for university projects
Bought five of these for my senior design project. All of them functioned perfectly. The clock speed is sufficient for our motor control algorithms, and the form factor fits nicely in our custom enclosures.

Great upgrade from the old Micro-USB versions
Finally, a C8T6 board with USB-C! No more flipping the cable three times. The voltage regulator seems stable, and I've run several servos and sensors without any brownouts.
Q: Is the SWD debug header populated?
A: The board includes unpopulated through-holes for the SWD interface (CLK, DIO, GND, 3.3V). You will need to solder a header or connect wires directly if you plan to use an ST-Link debugger.
Q: Does this board come with a pre-installed bootloader?
A: Yes, this Luban Class board comes pre-flashed with a bootloader compatible with the Arduino IDE (STM32duino), making it easy to upload code via USB without an external programmer.
Q: Are there any analog input pins available?
A: Yes, the STM32F103C8T6 features multiple ADC channels. On this specific board layout, pins PA0 through PA7 are broken out and can be used for analog readings with 12-bit resolution.
Q: Can I power this board with 5V from the VIN pin?
A: Yes, you can supply 5V to the VIN pin. The onboard regulator will step it down to 3.3V for the MCU. However, please ensure the input voltage does not exceed 12V to avoid damaging the regulator.
