Excellent value for money
For the price, you get Wi-Fi, BLE, and a display all on one tiny board. The USB-C connection makes programming very convenient. I've used it for a weather station project with great results.

Solid performance
Bluetooth pairing is quick and reliable. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the OLED brightness could be slightly higher for outdoor use, but it's fine for indoor applications.

Great for learning embedded systems
As a student, this board is perfect for learning about IoT. The community support is huge, and getting the example codes to run on the OLED screen was straightforward using Arduino IDE.

Low power consumption

Perfect for compact IoT projects

Great board, minor documentation gaps
Hardware quality is excellent and the RISC-V architecture runs smoothly. I had to dig into the ESP-IDF docs to find specific pin mappings for the OLED, but once set up, it works flawlessly.
Q: Which GPIO pins are broken out on the header?
A: Most GPIOs are accessible via the headers, including GPIO2 through GPIO10 and others. Please refer to the pinout diagram in the product wiki for the complete mapping, as some pins are shared with the OLED or Flash.
Q: Does this board support MicroPython out of the box?
A: The board comes with a default firmware, but it is fully compatible with MicroPython. You will need to flash the MicroPython firmware binary using a tool like esptool.py to get started.
Q: Is the ceramic antenna suitable for long-range applications?
A: The ceramic antenna offers good performance for standard IoT ranges (typically up to 30-50 meters indoors depending on obstacles). For extreme long-range needs, an external antenna version might be more appropriate.
Q: Can I power this board via the VIN pin instead of USB?
A: Yes, you can power the board via the 5V VIN pin. The onboard regulator will step it down to 3.3V for the ESP32-C3 and peripherals. Ensure the input voltage does not exceed 6V.
