Solid performance for industrial control
Using these for remote monitoring in a warehouse. The serial passthrough is transparent and reliable. Deducting one star only because the pinout diagram on the board silk screen is a bit small to read easily.

Excellent value for a development kit
Bought this for a university project on long-range sensor networks. The ability to configure parameters directly via the OLED menu is a huge time-saver. Connection stability has been rock solid over two weeks of continuous testing.

Great hardware, documentation could be better
Hardware quality is solid and the build feels robust. The LoRa range is impressive for the price point. However, the example code provided on the wiki was slightly outdated for the latest Arduino IDE versions. Once updated, it worked flawlessly.

Perfect for IoT Prototyping

The -148dBm sensitivity is not just marketing; I successfully established a link through dense urban environments where other modules failed. The SMA connector allows for easy antenna upgrades if needed.
Q: Can I power this directly from a 5V USB source?
A: Yes, the board features an onboard LDO regulator that accepts input voltages from 3.3V to 5.0V. You can safely power it via the 5V pin or a standard USB connection.
Q: Does the kit come with antennas pre-installed?
A: The kit includes two 433MHz dipole antennas with SMA connectors, but they are packaged separately in the box. You will need to screw them onto the SMA-KFD ports before powering on the device.
Q: Is the OLED screen programmable to show custom sensor data?
A: Yes, the OLED is connected via I2C. You can use standard libraries like Adafruit_SSD1306 to clear the default menu and display your own custom telemetry data.
Q: Can this module communicate with SX1276 or SX1278 based devices?
A: No, the SX1262 uses a different modulation scheme and register map compared to the SX127x series. For communication, both ends of the link must use SX1262 or compatible chips.
Q: What is the maximum baud rate supported for the UART interface?
A: The hardware supports baud rates up to 115200 bps reliably. While higher speeds may work in short bursts, we recommend staying at or below 115200 for stable long-distance packet transmission.
