Great dual output feature

Having both analog and digital outputs on the same board is very convenient. I use the analog pin for precise logging and the digital pin for immediate interrupt triggers. No issues so far.

Perfect for Arduino projects

Solid build quality

Reliable and compact

Good sensitivity, clear instructions needed

The hardware quality is solid and responds quickly to light changes. I deducted one star because it didn't come with a pinout diagram, but a quick Google search solved that. Works great for my smart lamp project.

Easy to use for beginners

I am new to electronics, and this module made light detection very simple. Just connect VCC, GND, and the output pin. The LED indicator on the board helps visualize when the threshold is triggered.

Q: How do I calibrate the sensitivity?

A: Use a small screwdriver to turn the blue potentiometer on the board. Rotate it while exposing the sensor to your desired trigger light level until the green LED indicator turns on or off.

Q: Is the mounting hole size standard for M3 screws?

A: Yes, the mounting holes are approximately 3mm in diameter, which fits standard M3 screws commonly used in electronics enclosures and robotics frames.

Q: What is the difference between the DO and AO pins?

A: AO (Analog Output) provides a variable voltage corresponding to the light intensity, which you read via an ADC. DO (Digital Output) goes HIGH or LOW based on a threshold you set using the blue potentiometer.

Q: Can this sensor detect infrared light?

A: This module uses a standard photoresistor optimized for visible light. While it may react slightly to strong IR sources, it is not designed for dedicated infrared detection applications.

Q: Does this module work with 3.3V logic levels like the ESP32?

A: Yes, the module operates comfortably within the 3.3V to 5V range, making it fully compatible with ESP32, ESP8266, and standard 5V Arduinos.
