Great for learning electronics
I bought this for a university project on smart lighting systems. The LM393 comparator makes the digital output very stable. Documentation online is plentiful, making it easy to find code examples.

Plug and play simplicity

Good value, easy to integrate
Solid build quality for the price. It took me less than 10 minutes to wire it up and get readings in my serial monitor. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the pin headers were slightly loose, but a quick solder fixed it.

Reliable digital output
Works well for binary light detection (on/off). If you need analog values, remember this board outputs digital signals based on the threshold you set. For my automated curtain project, it is exactly what I needed.

Perfect for my Arduino robot
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The sensitivity adjustment via the potentiometer is very precise, allowing me to set the exact light threshold needed for my line-following robot. Highly recommended for beginners.
Q: Is the potentiometer sensitive enough for fine-tuning?
A: Yes, the onboard blue potentiometer offers good resolution for adjusting the sensitivity. You can use a small screwdriver to make precise adjustments until the indicator LED triggers at your desired light level.
Q: Does this module provide an analog output signal?
A: This specific module provides a digital switching output (0 or 1) based on the threshold you set with the potentiometer. It does not expose the raw analog signal from the photoresistor directly on the main output pin.
Q: Do I need to install any drivers to use this?
