Finally, a sensor that detects stillness!
Unlike traditional PIR sensors, this millimeter wave radar actually detects me when I'm sitting still at my desk reading. The Bluetooth configuration was straightforward using their app. Highly recommended for smart office setups.

Excellent for developers
The UART protocol is well documented for those who want to bypass Bluetooth. Response time is very fast. Only wish the cable included was a bit longer for prototyping purposes.

Great sensitivity, minor setup quirks
The detection range is impressive and the light sensing feature works well for automating lights based on ambient conditions. Had a small issue connecting via Bluetooth initially, but a firmware update fixed it. Solid hardware overall.

Superior to standard motion sensors
I replaced three PIR sensors in my living room with these. The false triggers from ceiling fans are gone, and it picks up breathing movements. The build quality feels premium for the price point.

Good product, documentation could be better
The sensor works as advertised, but the English translation in the manual was a bit confusing regarding the register settings. Once I found some community guides, it was easy to set up. Works great now.
Q: Does this work with Alexa or Google Home directly?
A: The sensor itself does not have native Wi-Fi or direct cloud integration. It must be connected to a hub or microcontroller (like ESPHome, Home Assistant, or a custom bridge) which then integrates with Alexa or Google Home.
Q: Can this sensor detect a person sleeping without any movement?
A: Yes, the LD2410B uses millimeter wave technology capable of detecting micro-movements such as chest expansion from breathing, allowing it to sense static human presence even during sleep.
Q: Can I adjust the sensitivity zones?
A: Absolutely. Using the Hi-Link mobile app or PC configuration tool, you can define specific detection ranges and sensitivity levels for both moving and static targets to suit your room layout.
Q: What is the maximum distance for reliable detection?
A: For moving targets, the sensor can detect up to 8 meters. For static presence (such as someone sitting still), the reliable range is approximately 6 meters, depending on environmental obstacles.
Q: Is the Bluetooth connection secure for home use?
A: Yes, the module utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.0 with standard encryption protocols. Additionally, you can disable Bluetooth after configuration and operate the sensor solely via UART for added security.
