Good value, accurate enough
Solid sensor for the price. It's not laboratory grade, but for general IoT applications, the accuracy is more than sufficient. The breakout board saves a lot of time compared to soldering the raw TO-92 component.

Fast shipping and great quality
Arrived two days early. The PCB looks clean, and the soldering joints are solid. Tested against a calibrated thermometer, and it was within 0.3 degrees. Will buy again.

Great for students

Perfect for Arduino projects
This DS18B20 module worked straight out of the box. The wiring is clearly labeled, and the library support for Arduino is excellent. I'm using it to monitor my greenhouse temperature, and the readings are consistent.

Easy to set up
As someone new to electronics, I was worried about the setup. However, the online tutorials linked in the description made it very simple. Just needed a 4.7k pull-up resistor which wasn't included, but that's standard.

Reliable 1-Wire performance
I have daisy-chained four of these on a single GPIO pin. Each one reports its unique ID correctly, and there is no cross-talk. Highly recommended for multi-point temperature monitoring.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V logic like ESP32?
A: Absolutely. The module operates comfortably between 3.0V and 5.5V, making it fully compatible with 3.3V systems like the ESP32 and Raspberry Pi, as well as 5V Arduinos.
Q: Can I connect multiple sensors to one pin?
A: Yes, the DS18B20 supports the 1-Wire protocol, allowing you to connect multiple sensors in parallel to a single data pin. Each sensor has a unique 64-bit address.
Q: Does this module come with a waterproof probe?
A: No, this specific listing is for the bare TO-92 sensor mounted on a breakout board. It is not waterproof. For wet environments, please look for our stainless steel probe version.
Q: Is a pull-up resistor required?
A: Yes, a 4.7kΩ pull-up resistor is required between the VCC and Data lines for reliable communication. Some microcontroller boards have internal pull-ups, but an external resistor is recommended.
Q: What is the maximum cable length recommended?
A: For standard applications, we recommend keeping cable lengths under 10 meters without signal boosting. For longer distances, shielded cables and lower baud rates may be necessary.
