Perfect for Arduino projects
These sensors work exactly as expected. The linear output makes calibration with my Arduino very straightforward. Great value for the price.

Bulk buy success
Ordered 50 units for our community workshop. All of them tested functional out of the box. Highly recommended for bulk needs.

Solid component
Works well for monitoring CPU heatsink temperatures. Just remember you need an ADC to read the analog voltage output.

Good quality, slow shipping
The LM35 units are genuine and function correctly within the specified tolerance. My only complaint is that shipping took a bit longer than anticipated.

Reliable precision
I used these for a home weather station project. They provide stable readings and the TO-92 package is easy to solder onto perfboard.
Q: Can this measure negative temperatures?
A: The LM35DZ is rated for -55°C to +150°C. However, measuring negative temperatures requires a dual power supply or a specific biasing circuit configuration.
Q: Is the pinout standard for TO-92 packages?
A: When viewing the flat side with leads pointing down, the pins from left to right are: VCC, Output, and Ground.
Q: Can I use this with a 3.3V microcontroller?
A: Yes, the LM35 operates from 4V to 30V, but it can often work down to 3.3V depending on the load. For best results, ensure your supply voltage is stable.
Q: What is the difference between LM35DZ and LM35AZ?
A: The main difference is accuracy. The 'D' grade (LM35DZ) has an accuracy of ±0.5°C at 25°C, while the 'A' grade offers higher precision.
Q: Does this sensor require external calibration?
A: No, the LM35DZ is factory-calibrated. Its output is directly proportional to Celsius temperature with a scale factor of 10mV/°C.
