Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel hotend specifically for printing carbon fiber PLA, and it works flawlessly. The installation was straightforward, taking less than 15 minutes. No clogs so far after 2kg of filament.

Good upgrade, minor fitment note
Works great on my P1P. Just make sure to clean the heating block thoroughly before installing to ensure good thermal contact. Once installed, it has been rock solid for weeks.

Reliable and robust

Great quality but runs slightly hotter
The build quality is excellent and feels very durable. I noticed the temperature readings are about 2-3 degrees higher than my old brass nozzle, so I had to recalibrate my profiles slightly. Otherwise, a solid upgrade.

Professional grade performance
We use this in our small production shop for prototype parts using abrasive composites. The longevity compared to standard nozzles is impressive. It pays for itself quickly by reducing downtime.
Q: Does this come with a new silicone sock?
A: Yes, the package includes one new high-temperature silicone sock to protect the heater block during operation.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1?
A: This specific assembly is designed for the X1C, P1P, and P1S models. While it may physically fit the original X1, we recommend checking the firmware compatibility and connector types before purchasing.
Q: Can I use this for printing pure PLA at lower temperatures?
A: Absolutely. While optimized for high-temperature and abrasive materials, it works perfectly fine with standard PLA. You may need to increase the printing temperature by about 5-10°C compared to a brass nozzle due to lower thermal conductivity.
Q: What tools are needed for installation?
A: The package includes the necessary hex keys for installation. You will also need a pair of tweezers to handle the small clips and possibly a wire cutter if you need to trim zip ties.
Q: How often should I replace the hardened steel nozzle?
A: Hardened steel nozzles last significantly longer than brass ones. Under normal usage with abrasive filaments, they can last 6 to 12 months. Replace it only if you notice persistent clogging or visible wear on the nozzle tip.
