Sturdy and reliable
Very sturdy construction. The anodized gold not only looks cool but also seems to resist corrosion well. My prints have been consistent since installing this.

Perfect fit for my dual extruder setup
This gold anodized block fits perfectly on my modified Makerbot. The dual nozzle alignment is spot on, and the heat distribution seems very even. Highly recommended for anyone upgrading their hotend.

Great quality, minor installation tweak needed
The aluminum quality is excellent and the gold finish looks premium. I had to loosen the screws slightly more than expected to slide it in, but once installed, it works flawlessly.

Good value for the price
For the price, you get a solid aluminum block that does exactly what it says. It's not perfect out of the box regarding screw tension, but nothing a quick adjustment can't fix.

Excellent upgrade part

Solved my clogging issues
Switched to this mounting block and my clogging issues with the heat break are gone. The thermal performance is noticeably better than the stock plastic mount.

A: Yes, this mounting block is specifically designed to be compatible with the Makerbot Replicator 2X and similar dual extruder models using MK8 nozzles.
Q: Do I need special tools to install this?
A: Standard hex keys (Allen wrenches) that came with your 3D printer are sufficient for installation. No specialized tools are required.
Q: What is the maximum temperature this block can withstand?
A: The anodized aluminum block can safely withstand temperatures up to 300°C, which covers the operating range of most standard filaments including ABS and PLA.
Q: Does the package include the heating cartridges?
A: No, the package includes the aluminum mounting block and two heat breaks. Heating cartridges and nozzles must be purchased separately or reused from your existing setup.
Q: Will this work with a single nozzle configuration?
A: While designed for dual nozzles, it can technically be used with a single nozzle by leaving one port capped, though we recommend using a single-nozzle specific block for optimal weight balance.
