Great for abrasive filaments
I bought the hardened steel nozzle version specifically for printing carbon fiber filled PLA. It has held up remarkably well after several spools with no signs of wear. The thermal performance is consistent.

Works as expected
Straightforward installation for anyone familiar with E3D V6 systems. The thermistor reads accurately, and temperature stability is good. Took off one star because shipping took longer than estimated.

Excellent build quality
Very impressed with the finish on the heat sink fins. Cooling is efficient, and I haven't experienced any heat creep issues since installing this kit. It's a solid upgrade if your original parts are worn out.

Good value but instructions could be better
The quality of the components is excellent for the price. I successfully installed it on my Prusa i3 clone. The only downside is the lack of detailed assembly instructions, so you need some prior experience with 3D printer maintenance.

Heater cartridge was loose
Most of the kit is great, but the heater cartridge included in my package was slightly loose in the heat block. I had to use some high-temperature thermal paste to secure it properly. Once fixed, it works fine.

Perfect replacement for my old V6
This kit arrived quickly and contained all the necessary parts to rebuild my E3D V6 hotend. The machining on the heat block is precise, and the nozzle threads fit perfectly without any leaks. Highly recommended for anyone needing a refresh.
Q: What is the difference between the brass and hardened steel nozzles included?
A: Brass nozzles offer excellent thermal conductivity and are ideal for standard filaments like PLA and PETG. Hardened steel nozzles are more durable and resistant to wear, making them necessary for abrasive materials like carbon fiber or glow-in-the-dark filaments.
Q: Can I use this with a 24V power supply?
A: Yes, the heater cartridge included in this kit is rated for 24V systems, which is standard for most modern 3D printers. Please double-check your printer's voltage requirements before installation.
Q: How difficult is it to assemble for a beginner?
A: If you have never worked on a 3D printer hotend before, there is a learning curve. You will need basic tools and the ability to follow wiring diagrams. We recommend watching online tutorials specific to E3D V6 assembly before starting.
Q: Does this come with a silicone sock?
A: No, this specific kit does not include a silicone sock. However, standard E3D V6 silicone socks are widely available and can be purchased separately if needed for temperature stability.
Q: Is this kit compatible with the Creality Ender 3?
A: Yes, this kit is compatible with the Ender 3, but please note that the Ender 3 typically uses a different hotend design by default. You may need to modify your mount or ensure you are upgrading to a full V6 style setup.
