Perfect replacement for my old V6
This kit arrived quickly and fit my Prusa i3 clone perfectly. The heating is consistent and the thermistor reads accurately. Great value for the price compared to OEM parts.

Solid performance
Does exactly what it is supposed to do. The brass nozzle provides good flow rates. Only giving 4 stars because the instructions were minimal, but installation is straightforward if you know your way around a 3D printer.

Excellent upgrade kit
Upgraded from a stock head to this Tongtuo kit. The silicone sock included is a nice touch for temperature stability. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable spare or upgrade.

Good quality, minor threading issue
The heater block works great and reaches temperature fast. I had to use a tap to clean the threads on the nozzle slightly, but once installed, it has been printing flawlessly for weeks.

Works with 24V systems perfectly
I was worried about compatibility with my 24V printer, but this head handles it without any issues. No more clogs since switching to this setup. Very satisfied.
Q: Is the thermistor pre-installed?
A: Yes, the NTC 100K thermistor comes pre-installed in the heater block, ready for wiring into your mainboard.
Q: Does this come with a 0.2mm nozzle option?
A: The standard kit comes with a 0.4mm nozzle. However, the block accepts standard M6 nozzles, so you can purchase and install a 0.2mm nozzle separately.
Q: Can this handle abrasive filaments like Carbon Fiber?
A: The standard nozzle included is brass, which is not recommended for abrasive materials. However, the heater block supports hardened steel nozzles which you can swap in for carbon fiber printing.
Q: What is the difference between the 12V and 24V versions?
A: The difference lies in the resistance of the heater cartridge. You must select the voltage that matches your printer's power supply to ensure proper heating and safety.
Q: Is this compatible with the Creality Ender 3?
A: Yes, this kit is compatible with the Ender 3 as it uses the standard E3D V6 style hotend configuration common on that machine.
