Perfect replacement for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel hotend to print carbon fiber reinforced PLA, and it works flawlessly. The installation on my X1-Carbon was straightforward, taking less than 10 minutes. No clogs so far after 500g of printing.

Great quality but runs slightly hotter
The build quality is excellent and feels very durable. I noticed the temperature reading seems to run about 2-3 degrees higher than my original brass nozzle, so I had to tweak my profiles slightly. Otherwise, a solid upgrade.

Essential for engineering materials
If you plan on printing ABS, ASA, or anything with fibers, get this immediately. The detachable design makes swapping nozzles incredibly fast compared to older printer models. Highly recommended for serious users.

Seamless integration
Plug and play. The firmware recognized the new hotend immediately without any manual calibration needed beyond the standard flow rate check. Print quality remains crisp and detailed.

Good but overkill for standard PLA
It works well, but honestly, if you only print regular PLA or PETG, the standard brass nozzle is fine. This one takes a bit longer to heat up due to the mass of the hardened steel. Only buy if you need the durability.

Solid component
Very sturdy construction. The fan included is quiet and moves good air. My only minor complaint is that the price is a bit steep compared to third-party options, but the reliability of the OEM part is worth it.
Q: Do I need to update firmware before installing?
A: No firmware update is required. The printer automatically detects the hotend type. However, ensuring your firmware is up to date is always good practice for overall performance.
Q: Does this come with a silicone sock?
A: This package includes the hotend assembly and a cleaning needle. The silicone sock is usually sold separately or may be transferred from your existing hotend if it fits.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab A1 mini?
A: No, this hotend assembly is specifically designed for the X1, X1-Carbon, P1P, and P1S series. The A1 mini uses a different hotend architecture.
Q: What is the warranty period for this component?
A: This genuine Bambu Lab component comes with a standard 1-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Q: Can I use this nozzle with acidic filaments like wood-fill?
A: Yes, the hardened steel material is resistant to abrasion and corrosion, making it suitable for wood-fill, carbon fiber, and glow-in-the-dark filaments.
