Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel hotend specifically for printing carbon fiber PLA, and it has been flawless. The flow rate is consistent, and there is no sign of wear after 2kg of filament.

Reliable and durable
Been running this at high temperatures for engineering prototypes. The temperature stability is impressive, and the multi-color design looks sharp on the machine.

Great quality, slightly tricky install
The build quality is excellent and feels very sturdy. Installation on the U1 head took a bit longer than expected due to tight tolerances, but once seated, it works perfectly.

Best value for money
Compared to other branded replacements, this offers the same performance at a fraction of the cost. My prints are cleaner and layer adhesion has improved.

Solid performer
Works exactly as described. The 0.4mm nozzle gives great detail. I deducted one star only because the packaging was a bit loose, but the part itself was undamaged.

No more clogs!
I used to get frequent clogs with my old brass nozzle when using glitter PLA. This hardened steel version handles it without any issues. Highly recommended.
Q: Does the package include a heater cartridge and thermistor?
A: No, this package includes only the hotend block and the 0.4mm nozzle. You will need to transfer your existing heater cartridge and thermistor from your old unit.
Q: How often should I replace the nozzle if printing daily?
A: With hardened steel, the lifespan is significantly longer than brass. For daily use with standard filaments, it can last 6-12 months. With abrasive materials, inspect every 3-4 months.
Q: Can I use this with nylon filament?
A: Yes, the hardened steel construction and high-temperature rating make it suitable for nylon, provided your printer can reach the required extrusion temperatures.
Q: What is the thread size for the nozzle?
A: The nozzle uses a standard M6 thread, which is compatible with most common 3D printer hotends.
Q: Is this compatible with the standard U1 printer model or only the Pro version?
A: This hotend is designed specifically for the Integrated U1 Print Head found in both the standard and Pro versions of the U1 series.
