5 FAQ
Q: Is this compatible with the original Prusa i3 MK3S+?
A: This specific model is designed exclusively for the Prusa i3 MK4 due to differences in the hotend assembly geometry. For the MK3S+, please check our store for the compatible version.
Q: Does this require any firmware updates after installation?
A: No firmware updates are required. The part is a direct mechanical replacement. However, we recommend running a temperature calibration test after installation to ensure optimal settings.
Q: Does the package include thermal paste?
A: The package includes the split throat tube and heat sink clips. Thermal paste is not included, so please ensure you have some high-quality thermal compound ready for reassembly.
Q: Can this handle temperatures up to 350°C?
A: While the copper-titanium alloy is very durable, the manufacturer recommends a maximum continuous operating temperature of 300°C to ensure longevity and prevent potential degradation of surrounding components.
Q: How difficult is it to clean if a clog occurs?
A: The split throat design allows you to loosen the retaining clips and separate the tube halves without removing the entire hotend from the printer, making cleaning significantly easier than with standard tubes.
