Beautiful but smaller than expected

This is a gorgeous piece that looks great on my desk. The quality of the ceramic is excellent. I gave it 4 stars only because I thought it would be slightly larger based on the photos, but it works perfectly for standard practice sessions.

Excellent weight and stability

One thing I love is the weight. It doesn't slide around on the felt mat even when I'm pressing hard with the brush. The green color is very soothing and traditional. A solid addition to my Four Treasures collection.

Great gift for beginners

Lovely glaze, easy maintenance

The glaze makes cleaning incredibly easy; dried ink flakes right off after soaking. The color is a bit lighter than in the product images, more of a pale mint green, but still very elegant.

Perfect for my morning calligraphy practice

The celadon glaze is absolutely stunning and feels very smooth to the touch. The brush rest groove is perfectly sized for my medium wolf-hair brush. It holds ink well without leaking and cleans up instantly.

A: The ink well holds approximately 30ml of liquid ink, which is sufficient for several pages of calligraphy practice or a small painting session before needing a refill.

Q: Is the bottom of the dish glazed to prevent scratching my table?
