Best value for Zynq development
Compared to other boards in this category, the Xiao Meige offers incredible value. The inclusion of fiber optic transceivers saved us extra costs. Highly recommended for embedded systems engineers.

Excellent for high-speed prototyping

Reliable for academic research

Perfect for industrial control apps
Used this for a custom motion control system. The low latency of the PCIe interface combined with the flexibility of the FPGA fabric made implementation straightforward. Very satisfied.

Solid performance, minor thermal issues
The board performs well under heavy load, but the FPGA gets quite hot during extended stress tests. I added a small heatsink which solved the problem. Otherwise, a fantastic development tool.

Great hardware, steep learning curve
The build quality is solid and the components are top-notch. However, getting the Linux drivers configured for the specific FPGA bitstream took some time. Good documentation would make it a 5-star product.
Q: Does this board support Windows drivers for the PCIe interface?
A: Currently, we provide full driver support for Linux (PetaLinux and Ubuntu). Windows driver development kits are available upon request for enterprise customers, but standard examples are Linux-based.
Q: What is the maximum data rate achievable on the fiber optic ports?
A: The SFP+ cages support speeds up to 10 Gbps per lane. Actual throughput depends on your FPGA design and the specific transceivers used, but the hardware is rated for 10G Ethernet standards.
Q: Can I use this board without a host PC, running standalone?
A: Yes, the Zynq SoC allows the board to run standalone using the ARM Cortex-A9 cores. You can boot Linux from the SD card or QSPI flash without needing the PCIe connection to a host.
Q: Are the Vivado project files included in the package?
A: Yes, a USB drive is included containing base Vivado projects, constraint files, and example designs for both the 7015 and 7020 variants to help you get started quickly.
Q: Is the JTAG debugger compatible with Digilent cables?
A: Absolutely. The board uses a standard 6-pin JTAG header that is fully compatible with Digilent JTAG-HS3, Platform Cable USB II, and most other common Xilinx debuggers.
