Excellent value for money
Compared to other development boards with similar specs, this offers incredible value. The built-in WiFi and Bluetooth make connecting to cloud services effortless. Highly recommended for prototyping.

Beginner friendly
I am new to embedded systems, and this board made learning easy. There are plenty of examples available online. The USB-C port is a nice modern touch for power and programming.

Fast shipping and great product
Arrived well-packaged. The board feels sturdy and the soldering quality is top-notch. Successfully flashed MicroPython within minutes and got the touchscreen working immediately.

Great hardware, documentation could be better
The screen quality is excellent and the colors are vibrant. Setting up the environment took a bit of time as some pin definitions weren't immediately clear in the wiki, but once configured, it works great.

Solid performance for HMI
Using this as an HMI for a small robot controller. The processing power is sufficient for complex UI animations. Only minor issue is the brightness could be slightly higher for outdoor use.

Perfect for LVGL projects
This board is exactly what I needed for my smart home dashboard. The LVGL library works flawlessly out of the box, and the 5-point touch is very responsive. The ESP32-S3 handles the graphics smoothly without lag.
Q: What is the operating voltage for the GPIO pins?
A: The GPIO pins operate at 3.3V logic level. Please ensure your external sensors or modules are 3.3V compatible or use level shifters.
Q: Can I power this board with a 3.7V LiPo battery directly?
A: It is recommended to connect the LiPo battery through the designated battery interface if available, or via the 5V input which has a regulator. Direct connection to 3.3V pins is not advised.
Q: Is the display sunlight readable?
A: The display has decent brightness for indoor use. For direct sunlight, visibility may be reduced, and we recommend adding a sunshade for outdoor applications.
Q: Does this board support MicroPython?
A: Yes, the ESP32-S3 module fully supports MicroPython. You can find installation guides and example scripts on the Waveshare wiki.
Q: Does the package include a USB cable?
A: Yes, the standard package includes a USB-A to USB-C cable for power supply and programming.
