Great hardware, docs could be better
Hardware quality is top-notch as expected from Waveshare. The ESP32-S3 handles the high-res display well. I wish the example code for the gyroscope was more detailed, but I managed to get it working.

Solid performance
The 8MB PSRAM is a lifesaver for graphics-heavy applications. Only minor issue is that the pinout diagram on the silkscreen is a bit small to read without a magnifier.

Excellent learning board
Bought this for a university project. The USB-C connection makes flashing code very easy, and the screen brightness is adjustable which is great for battery testing scenarios.

Compact and Powerful
I am using this as the brain for a small wearable robot. The form factor is perfect, and the dual-core processor handles Wi-Fi and sensor fusion simultaneously without lag.

Perfect for IoT Prototyping
The AMOLED screen is incredibly crisp and the touch response is accurate right out of the box. Having the BMI270 sensor onboard saves so much wiring hassle for my gesture control projects.

Best value AMOLED board
Compared to other boards with similar specs, this offers the best price-to-performance ratio. The colors on the AMOLED are vibrant, making UI design really pop.

Q: What is the operating voltage for the GPIO pins?
A: The GPIO pins operate at 3.3V logic levels. Please ensure you do not connect 5V signals directly to the GPIO pins to avoid damaging the microcontroller.
