Great hardware, documentation could be better
The build quality is excellent and the RISC-V core is fast. I had to dig around a bit to find specific pinout diagrams for the LCD library, but once working, it performs flawlessly.

Perfect for IoT Prototyping
The Wi-Fi 6 support on this board is a game changer for my smart home projects. The screen is bright and the touch response is very accurate. Setup with ESP-IDF was straightforward.

Wi-Fi 6 makes a difference
Upgraded from an older ESP32 model specifically for the Wi-Fi 6 capabilities. The connection stability in congested networks is noticeably better. The touchscreen library works great with LVGL.

Solid performance, runs cool
Used this as the main controller for a small robot interface. The power consumption is low, and it doesn't overheat even when driving the display and Wi-Fi simultaneously. Lost one star because the mounting holes are a bit tight.

Excellent value for money
For the price, you get an amazing amount of features. The Bluetooth 5 LE connectivity is stable, and the color reproduction on the 1.47-inch display is surprisingly good for such a small form factor.
Q: Does the Wi-Fi 6 require a specific router to function?
A: The board supports Wi-Fi 6 features but is backward compatible with Wi-Fi 5 and earlier standards. You do not need a Wi-Fi 6 router to use it, though you won't access Wi-Fi 6 specific speeds without one.
Q: Is there a microSD card slot included on this board?
A: No, this specific model does not include an onboard microSD card slot. However, you can connect an external SD card module via the SPI interface pins.
Q: Can I power this board directly via the GPIO pins?
A: It is recommended to power the board via the USB Type-C port or the 5V/GND header pins. Supplying voltage directly to logic-level GPIO pins may damage the MCU.
