Perfect for university projects
Bought this for my final year computer vision project. It handles large models effortlessly and the Wi-Fi module allows for easy data transmission to my laptop. Highly recommend for students.

Incredible performance for the price
The 6T computing power is no joke. I was able to run complex object detection models smoothly at high frame rates. The CanMV IDE makes Python development very intuitive compared to other boards I've tried.

Industrial grade potential
We are testing this for a small-scale industrial inspection line. The stability over 48-hour continuous runs has been impressive. The 1080p60 encoding is crisp and the latency is minimal.

Solid hardware, needs more community examples
The board itself is robust and runs cool even under load. However, finding specific code examples for niche sensors beyond the standard camera modules can be challenging. Expect to write your own drivers sometimes.

Great board, steep learning curve for C++
Hardware is fantastic and the camera quality is excellent for machine vision tasks. While Python works out of the box, setting up the C++ environment took some time. Documentation could be slightly more detailed for advanced users.

Best RISC-V AI board currently available
The transition from K210 to K230 is a massive upgrade. The dual-core architecture and increased RAM allow for multitasking that wasn't possible before. Video encoding capabilities are a nice bonus for surveillance prototypes.
Q: Can I power this board directly from a Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: No, the K230 requires a stable 5V/2A supply which exceeds the output capacity of Raspberry Pi GPIO pins. Please use a dedicated USB-C power adapter or a high-current USB hub.
Q: Does CanMV IDE work on Linux Ubuntu?
A: Yes, the CanMV IDE is fully compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux (including Ubuntu). You can download the appropriate version from our official GitHub repository.
Q: What is the maximum resolution supported by the camera interface?
A: The MIPI CSI interface supports up to 8MP sensors, capable of capturing images at 3264x2448 resolution, though AI inference is typically optimized for 1080p or lower inputs.
Q: Is the Wi-Fi module pre-soldered or do I need to buy it separately?
A: The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module comes pre-soldered on the board in the standard configuration. You do not need to purchase any additional wireless adapters.
Q: Does this board support running YOLOv8 models?
