Solid performer for the price
We bought ten of these for our workshop. Nine worked flawlessly out of the box. One had a loose terminal screw, but easily fixed. Good bulk purchase option.

Reliable industrial grade performance
Used this in a prototype for an automated guided vehicle. It sustained 40A continuously with adequate cooling. The protection circuits saved my motor during a stall test.

Great value, minor soldering needed
The board works exactly as described. I had to solder my own headers, but that's expected at this price point. Current limiting feature is very stable.

Easy to interface with Arduino
Very straightforward to connect to microcontrollers. The documentation provided by the seller helped me get it running in minutes. Great for learning motor control.
Q: What happens if the motor stalls?
A: The BTS7960 chip has integrated over-current and thermal shutdown protection. It will automatically cut off power to prevent damage to the driver or the motor.
Q: Can this module be driven directly by a 3.3V microcontroller like ESP32?
A: Yes, the logic input pins are compatible with both 3.3V and 5V systems, making it safe to use with ESP32, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi.
Q: Is the PWM frequency adjustable via software?
A: The module itself does not generate PWM; it passes the signal from your microcontroller. You can adjust the frequency in your code, and the board supports frequencies up to 25kHz efficiently.
Q: Does this board include a heatsink or fan?
A: The module comes with a built-in aluminum heatsink on the chip. For currents approaching 43A, we recommend adding active cooling or ensuring good airflow in your enclosure.
Q: Can I use this for bidirectional motor control?
A: Yes, this is a full-bridge driver capable of forward and reverse rotation control using two PWM input signals or one PWM plus one direction pin.
