Excellent for AI learning projects
I bought this specifically for the NPU capabilities. Running TensorFlow Lite models is smooth. The dual LAN ports are a bonus for router or firewall projects. Highly recommend for anyone moving beyond basic GPIO tinkering.

Good board but shipping took longer than expected
The product itself works as advertised and handles compilation tasks quickly. My only complaint is the shipping time which delayed my project start. Otherwise, the technical specifications are accurate and reliable.

Perfect upgrade from my old Pi projects
The RK3568 chip provides a noticeable boost in performance compared to older single-board computers. The NPU is great for running lightweight object detection models without needing an external accelerator. Documentation was clear and getting Ubuntu running was straightforward.

Solid build quality and good community support
The board feels durable and the connectors are well-soldered. I had a minor issue with the camera driver initially, but the Firefly forum support team helped me resolve it within a day. Good value for the specs.

Best board for robotics control
Using this as the brain for a custom robot arm. The real-time performance is impressive, and the multiple USB 3.0 ports allow me to connect several peripherals without a hub. The power management is also very efficient.

Great hardware, steep learning curve for beginners
Hardware quality is top-notch with excellent port selection. However, if you are new to Linux embedded systems, be prepared to spend time reading the wiki. Once configured, it is a stable platform for industrial control prototypes.
Q: Does the package include a power adapter and cooling fan?
A: The standard package includes the board and a passive heatsink. A power adapter (5V/3A USB-C) and active cooling fan are sold separately to allow flexibility for different enclosure setups.
Q: What is the maximum resolution supported by the HDMI output?
A: The HDMI 2.0 interface supports up to 4K resolution at 60Hz, ensuring crisp display output for multimedia applications or desktop environments.
Q: Can I run Docker containers on this development board?
A: Yes, Docker is fully supported on the Ubuntu and Debian images provided for the RK3568 architecture. Many users successfully deploy containerized applications for IoT gateways.
Q: Is the GPIO pinout exactly the same as the Raspberry Pi 4?
A: The 40-pin header follows the physical layout and voltage levels of the Raspberry Pi, making many HATs compatible. However, some specific pin functions differ due to the Rockchip SoC architecture, so please check the pin mapping diagram in our documentation before connecting sensitive components.
Q: Does this board support PoE (Power over Ethernet)?
A: The standard Firefly Luban Cat 2 does not include built-in PoE. However, there is a dedicated header on the PCB that allows you to connect an optional PoE HAT module sold separately.
