Perfect for IoT Projects
This ESP32 board works flawlessly right out of the box. The dual-core processor handles multitasking easily, and the built-in WiFi and Bluetooth make connecting to my home network simple. Great value for the price.

Great for learning embedded systems

Excellent connectivity range
The WiFi antenna on this version seems better than generic clones I've bought before. I get a strong signal even two rooms away from my router. Bluetooth pairing is also instant.

Reliable for prototyping
We used several of these for rapid prototyping of an industrial monitor. They held up well under continuous operation for weeks. Only wish it had a dedicated reset button that was slightly larger.

Solid board, minor driver issue
The hardware is excellent and stable. I had a small hiccup installing the CH340 drivers on Windows 11, but once that was sorted, uploading code via Arduino IDE was smooth. Highly recommend for students.

Best upgrade from ESP8266
The extra RAM and processing power compared to the ESP8266 are noticeable. I'm using this for a smart home sensor hub, and it handles multiple MQTT connections without lagging.
Q: What is the difference between the CP2102 and CH340 versions?
A: The difference lies only in the USB-to-UART bridge chip used for programming. Both work identically for the ESP32 functionality; you just need to install the specific driver for the chip your board has.
Q: Does this board support MicroPython?
A: Yes, the ESP32 chip fully supports MicroPython. You can flash the firmware using esptool.py and start coding in Python immediately.
Q: How many GPIO pins are available for user projects?
A: While the chip has more, this specific board layout exposes approximately 30 usable GPIO pins. Note that some pins (like GPIO 6-11) are connected to flash memory and should not be used.
Q: Is the Bluetooth Classic supported or only BLE?
