Great value, minor heating issue
Works flawlessly with Arduino IDE. I noticed it gets a bit warm during continuous video streaming, but nothing concerning. The ability to swap cameras is a nice bonus for future projects.

Excellent stability
I've run this board continuously for two weeks without a crash. The PSRAM handles the image buffers well. Great form factor for embedding into small enclosures.

No external programmer needed!
Finally, a board where I don't need to juggle FTDI adapters. Plug and play via Micro USB. Setup took less than 10 minutes. Highly recommended for beginners and pros alike.

Solid performance for home security
Using this for a DIY doorbell camera. The Bluetooth connectivity helps with initial configuration. Only wish the documentation included more Python examples, but community support fills the gap.

Good board, tricky pinout
The hardware is great, but the pinout labeling on the silkscreen is a bit small to read. Once you map it out, it works perfectly. Just take your time during wiring.

Perfect for IoT prototyping
This board makes setting up a WiFi camera incredibly easy. The built-in serial converter saves so much hassle compared to the standard ESP32-CAM modules. Image quality is decent for the price point.
Q: What is the maximum resolution for video streaming?
A: With the OV2640 sensor, the maximum resolution is UXGA (1600x1200). If you upgrade to an OV3660 sensor, you can achieve up to 2048x1536 resolution, depending on your network bandwidth.
Q: Does this board support the OV3660 camera sensor out of the box?
A: Yes, the board is designed to be compatible with both the included OV2640 and the higher-resolution OV3660 sensors. You may need to update the firmware configuration to switch between them.
Q: Can I power this directly from a Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: We recommend using an external 5V power source. While the logic levels are 3.3V compatible, the current draw during Wi-Fi transmission can exceed what a Pi GPIO pin safely provides.
Q: Is the Micro USB port used only for power or also for data?
A: The Micro USB port serves dual purposes: it provides 5V power to the board and acts as the serial interface for flashing code and monitoring output.
Q: Does this come with a pre-installed bootloader?
A: Yes, the ESP32 chip comes with a standard bootloader that allows immediate programming via the Arduino IDE or esptool.py without additional steps.
