Best in class for edge computing
Upgraded from an older ARM board and the difference in inference speed is night and day. The 3 TOPS capability allows us to run complex models locally without latency issues. Great purchase for our robotics team.

Great hardware, steep learning curve
The board itself is powerful and handles 4K video encoding smoothly. However, if you are new to Rockchip SDKs, be prepared to spend some time configuring the build environment. Once running, it performs flawlessly.

Reliable and well-supported

Solid performance, good thermal management
Runs cool even under heavy NPU load. The open-source hardware aspect makes it easy to design a custom carrier board. My only minor complaint is that the pinout diagram could be more detailed in the initial docs.
