Great hardware, average cooling
The board performs well under heavy load, but the chip gets quite warm during intensive bitstream compilation and execution. I added a small heatsink which solved the issue. Otherwise, fantastic product.

Best bang for your buck
Compared to other vendor boards costing three times as much, this offers nearly identical features for hobbyists. The JTAG debugging works flawlessly with Vivado. Shipping was fast too.

Robust for prototyping industrial controls
We used this for a proof-of-concept motor control system. The real-time performance of the FPGA fabric combined with Linux networking capabilities made it an ideal choice. Stable operation over 48 hours of testing.

Good value, minor pinout confusion
Hardware quality is solid and the price is unbeatable for a Zynq-7020 board. I had some trouble initially mapping the GPIO pins to the expansion headers, but the community forum helped clarify it quickly.

Perfect for university projects

Excellent board for embedded Linux learning
This ALINX board is perfect for getting started with Zynq SoC development. The PetaLinux build process was smooth, and the HDMI output worked out of the box. Great documentation provided on their wiki.
