Good for academic research
Bought this for our university lab to teach digital signal processing. Students find it easy to interface with Vivado. The only minor issue is that the SMA clock input requires a specific voltage level which wasn't clearly highlighted in the quick start guide.

Perfect for high-speed signal processing projects
This module integrates seamlessly with our Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ carrier board. The signal integrity is excellent, and we achieved stable sampling at 250 MSPS without any noise issues. Highly recommended for radar or communications prototyping.

Robust build quality
Received the unit quickly. The PCB layout is clean, and the connectors feel very durable. We have been running continuous stress tests for 48 hours with no overheating or data drops. A solid choice for serious development.

Reliable dual-channel synchronization
The phase alignment between the two channels is impressive. We are using this for beamforming applications, and the low jitter performance meets our strict requirements. ALINX support was also very helpful during setup.

Excellent value for industrial testing
We use these modules for vibration analysis in our industrial control systems. The 14-bit resolution provides enough detail for our FFT analysis, and the FMC form factor makes it easy to swap between different FPGA carriers.

Great performance, documentation could be better
The hardware quality is top-notch and the dual-channel sync works flawlessly. However, the example Verilog code provided in the wiki was a bit outdated. Once we updated the constraints file, everything worked perfectly.
Q: Can I drive the ADC clock from an external source?
A: Absolutely. There is an SMA connector dedicated to external clock input. You can switch between the on-board PLL and the external source via the configuration jumpers described in the user manual.
Q: Does the package include the FMC connector cables?
A: No, this module plugs directly into the FMC slot on your carrier board. No external cables are needed for the data interface, though you may need SMA cables for clock input if not using the on-board oscillator.
Q: Is this module compatible with the Alinx AX7035 carrier board?
A: Yes, this AD module is specifically designed to be fully compatible with the AX7035 and other standard FMC-compatible Zynq-7000 and UltraScale+ carrier boards.
Q: What is the maximum analog input frequency supported?
A: While the sampling rate is 250 MSPS, the analog bandwidth of the input stage is approximately 1.2 GHz, allowing you to capture signals well beyond the Nyquist frequency for undersampling applications.
Q: Are there Linux drivers available for this module?
A: We provide reference HDL designs for Vivado. For Linux, you would typically integrate the IP core into your Petalinux or Yocto build as a custom peripheral; we provide a register map to help you write the driver.
