Best travel brush I've owned
The build quality is superior to other travel brushes I have tried. The cap seals tightly, keeping the bristles safe, and the hair snaps back into a perfect point every time.

I take this brush everywhere. The squirrel hair holds an incredible amount of water, and the collapsible handle fits perfectly in my travel kit. Highly recommended for outdoor artists.

Good value for money
For the price and free shipping, this is a steal. The handle feels sturdy when extended. Just be careful not to lose the cap since it protects the delicate hairs.

Excellent water retention
I was skeptical about synthetic vs. natural hair, but this squirrel hair brush is amazing. I can paint several strokes without reloading. The PT600 size is my favorite.

Smooth application
The brush glides smoothly across the paper. It handles both wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques beautifully. A must-have addition to any travel watercolor set.

Great quality, slightly soft
The brush is very soft and creates beautiful washes. It might be too soft for fine detail work if you prefer stiffer bristles, but for general watercolor, it is excellent.
Q: What is the difference between the PT555 and PT600 models?
A: The main difference is the size of the brush head. The PT600 has a larger capacity for broader washes, while the PT555 is slightly smaller, offering a balance between detail and coverage.
Q: Is the handle durable enough for frequent travel?
A: Yes, the handle is made from high-quality wood and metal fittings designed to withstand frequent assembly and disassembly. Many customers use it daily for travel sketching.
Q: How do I clean and maintain this brush?
A: Rinse gently with lukewarm water after each use. Reshape the tip and let it air dry horizontally or hang it with the bristles facing down. Avoid soaking the ferrule or handle.
Q: Can this brush be used with acrylic paints?
A: While primarily designed for watercolor, ink, and gouache, you can use it with fluid acrylics. However, please clean it immediately after use to prevent the paint from drying on the delicate squirrel hair.
Q: Does the protective cap fit tightly?
A: Yes, the cap is designed to fit snugly to protect the bristles from bending or damage during transport. Ensure it is fully pushed on before storing.
