Exceeded expectations for the price
I was hesitant to buy a viola online without trying it first, but this one surprised me. The C-string has a deep, resonant quality that is often hard to find in this size range. It fits perfectly in our community orchestra ensemble.

Great sound, needs setup
The instrument itself is beautiful and sounds warm. However, like many handcrafted instruments shipped internationally, it required a local luthier to adjust the bridge and soundpost properly. Once set up, it plays like a dream.

Orchestra ready out of the box
Joined a semi-professional ensemble immediately after receiving this. The balance between the strings is excellent, and it cuts through the texture of the full orchestra without sounding harsh. Very pleased with this purchase.

Beautiful aesthetic and tone
The antique varnish finish gives it a very professional look on stage. The response is quick, making fast passages easy to execute. I use this as my primary teaching instrument and it demonstrates techniques beautifully.
