Excellent craftsmanship
The bitter bamboo feels solid and high quality. The carving details are exquisite. I bought the C key for my daughter and she loves how easy it is to produce a sound.

No more tearing membranes!
As someone who struggled with traditional Dizi films, this is a relief. The tone is surprisingly close to a membranous flute but much more consistent in different weather conditions.

Professional quality at a great price
I am an intermediate player and use this for practice. The intonation is accurate across both octaves. The E key version has a particularly bright and piercing sound that cuts through well.

Perfect for beginners without the hassle
I wanted to learn the flute but was intimidated by the membrane application. This membrane-free version is a game changer. The sound is beautiful and clear right out of the box.

Great tone, very authentic look
The ancient style design is stunning. It plays wonderfully in the lower register. Took off one star only because the case could be slightly more padded, but the flute itself is perfect.
Q: What is the difference between the E key and C key versions?
A: The main difference is the pitch and size. The C key flute is larger and produces a deeper, mellower tone, while the E key is smaller with a brighter, higher pitch. Beginners often start with C or D, but E is also popular for its versatility.
Q: Do I need to buy separate membrane paper for this flute?
A: No, this is a membrane-free model specifically designed to eliminate the need for Dizi film (membrane paper). You can play it immediately without any additional accessories.
Q: How do I clean the inside of the flute?
A: Use the included cleaning rod with a soft, dry cloth attached. Gently swipe through the bore after playing to remove moisture. Avoid using water or chemical cleaners on the bamboo.
Q: Does this flute come with a carrying case?
A: Yes, each flute includes a protective cloth case and a cleaning rod to help maintain your instrument.
Q: Is this flute suitable for outdoor performances?
A: Yes, the aged bitter bamboo is treated to be relatively resistant to humidity changes, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. However, we recommend avoiding extreme direct sunlight or rain.
