Reliable but cap can be tight

The ink flow is smooth and perfect for inking manga panels. My only minor complaint is that the caps can be a bit stiff to remove sometimes, but it ensures they don't dry out.

Perfect for watercolor underdrawings

Nice brown tone

Bought these specifically for the brown ink option for journaling. The color is a rich sepia tone. Took off one star because I wish the set came with more brown variants.

As an architecture student, I go through a lot of pens. These offer the precision of much more expensive technical pens at a fraction of the cost.

Q: Are these pens safe to use on skin for temporary tattoos or nail art?

A: While many customers use them for nail art over polished nails, these pens are not formulated or tested as cosmetic products for direct application on bare skin. We recommend using them only on non-skin surfaces or over a protective base coat.

Q: Do you sell refills for these specific fineliners?

A: No, Sakura Pigma Micron Fineliners are designed as disposable units. Once the ink is depleted, the entire pen should be recycled according to local regulations. We do not offer refill cartridges for this model.

Q: Can I use these on glossy photo paper?

A: These pens work best on porous papers like sketchbook or bristol board. On glossy photo paper, the ink may take significantly longer to dry and could potentially smear or bead up. We recommend testing on a scrap piece first.

Q: Will the ink smear if I use an eraser over it after it dries?

A: Once the pigment ink is fully dry (usually within seconds), it is highly resistant to smearing. However, vigorous erasing directly on the ink line may damage the paper surface rather than lift the ink, as the pigment binds strongly to the fibers.

Q: What is the difference between the standard tip and the Soft Tip BR?

A: The standard Pigma Micron tips are firm plastic for consistent line width. The Soft Tip BR features a slightly more flexible brush-like fiber tip, allowing for variable line widths similar to a traditional brush pen while maintaining ink control.
