Reliable and compact

Works well but pins are tight
Functionality is top-notch. My only minor complaint is that the header pins were slightly tight when inserting jumper wires, but nothing a little care couldn't handle.

Excellent for learning electronics

Perfect for my weather station project
This sensor module works exactly as described. The sensitivity adjustment is very responsive, allowing me to calibrate it for light drizzle or heavy rain. Easy to interface with my Arduino Uno.

Good value, needs calibration
Great little sensor for the price. It took a few minutes to get the potentiometer setting just right for my specific outdoor enclosure, but once set, it has been reliable for weeks.
Q: Does this module come with connecting wires?
A: No, the module typically comes without pre-attached wires. You will need to solder your own header pins or connect jumper wires directly to the pads.
Q: Is the PCB coated for long-term outdoor use?
A: The board has a basic solder mask, but for permanent outdoor installation, we recommend applying an additional conformal coating to protect against corrosion over time.
Q: Does it work with 3.3V logic levels?
A: Yes, the LM393 comparator supports a wide voltage range, so it is fully compatible with both 5V and 3.3V microcontrollers like the ESP32 or Raspberry Pi.
Q: What is the maximum current draw?
A: The module consumes very little power, typically around 20mA when active, making it suitable for battery-powered projects.
Q: Can this sensor detect snow?
A: This sensor is designed primarily for liquid water detection. While melting snow might trigger it, dry snow usually will not conduct electricity enough to activate the sensor.
