Solid sensor for the money
Good sensitivity and response time. It handles magnetic interference better than some cheaper alternatives I've tried. Would recommend adding a protective case if using in rough environments.

Perfect for drone navigation projects
This sensor module is incredibly accurate. I integrated it into my custom drone flight controller, and the heading data is stable even during rapid movements. The I2C communication was easy to set up with my microcontroller.

Easy to integrate
The documentation provided by the manufacturer is clear. I had it reading data within an hour of unboxing. The form factor is small enough to fit into tight enclosures without issues.

Great value, minor calibration needed
Works as advertised. Out of the box, it required some soft-iron and hard-iron calibration to get precise readings, but that is expected for magnetometers. Once calibrated, it performs excellently for the price point.

Reliable industrial grade performance
We used these in a batch of educational robotics kits. They have shown consistent performance across different units. The low power consumption is a huge plus for battery-operated devices.
Q: Is there a library available for Arduino?
A: Yes, there are several open-source libraries compatible with the AK09911C sensor available on GitHub and the Arduino Library Manager that support this module.
Q: Does this module come with a breakout board or is it just the raw chip?
A: This listing is for the MCU-9911 module which includes the AK09911C sensor mounted on a small carrier board with standard pin headers for easy breadboarding.
Q: Can this be used outdoors in rainy conditions?
A: The module itself is not waterproof. For outdoor use in wet conditions, you must house it in a sealed, non-magnetic enclosure to protect the electronics.
Q: Does it support both 3.3V and 5V logic levels?
A: The sensor operates between 1.7V and 3.6V. If your microcontroller uses 5V logic, you will need a logic level converter to ensure safe communication.
Q: What is the maximum update rate for this sensor?
A: The AK09911C supports a continuous measurement mode with an output data rate of up to 100 Hz, which is sufficient for most real-time navigation applications.
