Great for student projects

Compact and reliable

Small form factor makes it easy to hide inside 3D printed enclosures. I used it for a voice-activated light switch, and the sensitivity is adjustable via the onboard resistor if needed.

Perfect for Arduino Voice Projects

This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The automatic gain control really helps stabilize the audio levels when I move closer or further from the mic. Setup was straightforward using the three pins.

Solid performer

Does exactly what it says on the tin. The voltage range is flexible enough for both 3.3V and 5V logic systems. Noise floor is low, which is great for sensitive applications.

Good quality, clear sound

The audio output is surprisingly clear for such a small module. I used it for a home intercom prototype. Only giving 4 stars because the soldering pads are a bit small for beginners.

Excellent AGC performance

I've tried several microphone modules, and the MAX9814 has the best Automatic Gain Control I've seen in this price range. It handles loud noises without clipping effectively.
