Solid module, minor soldering needed
The sensor works perfectly for my self-balancing robot project. The only reason for 4 stars is that the pin headers weren't pre-soldered, but that's a minor inconvenience for the price point.

Great value for precision sensing
Integrated easily with my STM32 controller using SPI. The documentation provided by the seller was clear, and the sensor readings are consistent and accurate right out of the box.

Excellent stability for FPV drones
The ICM42688 chip on this module provides incredibly smooth flight data. The noise levels are significantly lower than my old MPU6050 setup. Highly recommended for anyone building a high-performance racing drone.

Perfect upgrade from older sensors

Low drift performance
Impressed by the low drift characteristics over time. We used this in a prototype stabilization gimbal, and the results were professional grade. The 6-axis fusion is very reliable.

Good hardware, check your libraries
Hardware quality is top-notch. Just make sure you have the latest libraries for the ICM42688 as it's newer than the common MPU series. Once configured, it runs flawlessly.
Q: Is the I2C address configurable?
A: Yes, the module has a solder jumper that allows you to toggle between two different I2C addresses, enabling the use of two sensors on the same bus if needed.
Q: What is the exact update rate of the gyroscope?
A: The ICM42688 supports an output data rate (ODR) of up to 8kHz for the gyroscope and 4kHz for the accelerometer, configurable via register settings.
Q: How resistant is this to high-frequency vibrations?
A: The ICM42688 features advanced digital filtering specifically designed to reject high-frequency mechanical noise, making it ideal for motor-heavy applications like drones.
