Reliable presence detection
I replaced three PIR sensors with these LD2401 modules. The ability to detect micro-movements like breathing means the lights don't turn off when I'm sitting still reading. Excellent product.

Best mmWave sensor in this price range
Fast shipping and the module arrived well-packaged. Performance exceeds expectations; it can distinguish between static presence and movement reliably. Will be buying more for other rooms.

Good documentation support
Integration with ESP32 was straightforward. The datasheet is detailed enough to get started quickly. Deducting one star only because the default sensitivity needed tweaking for my specific room layout.

Great value, minor learning curve
The hardware quality is solid for the price. It took me a little while to understand the register settings via UART, but once configured, it works flawlessly. Much better than standard PIR sensors.
Q: How do I configure the detection distance?
A: You can configure the detection range and sensitivity using the official Hi-Link Bluetooth app on your smartphone or by sending specific UART commands to the module.
Q: Is an external antenna required for operation?
A: No, the LD2401 module comes with a built-in PCB antenna. You do not need to connect an external antenna for standard operation.
Q: What is the maximum update rate for the output signal?
A: The output refresh rate is configurable via UART commands, typically ranging from 100ms to several seconds depending on your application requirements for responsiveness versus stability.
Q: Does this work with 5V Arduino boards directly?
A: The module operates at 3.3V logic levels. While you can power it with 5V if the board has a 3.3V regulator, ensure your data lines are level-shifted or compatible to avoid damaging the sensor.
Q: Can this sensor detect people through a wooden door?
