Excellent stability for balancing robots

Used this for a self-balancing robot project. The fusion algorithm results are smooth, and the latency is minimal. It handles rapid movements much better than the cheap clones of the MPU6050 I tried previously.

Reliable and compact

Small form factor makes it easy to integrate into tight spaces. The breakout board pins are clearly labeled. I appreciate that it supports both I2C and SPI, giving flexibility in design choices.

Good for motion tracking prototypes

Working on a VR controller prototype. The gyro drift is acceptable for short sessions. It's a solid alternative when supply chains for other major brands are tight. Shipping was fast too.

Great performance, documentation could be better

The sensor itself is excellent. Low power consumption and high accuracy. However, finding specific register maps took a bit of digging compared to the ubiquitous MPU6050. Once configured via SPI, it runs perfectly on my STM32 project.

Perfect drop-in replacement for my flight controller

I needed a sensor compatible with the BMI160 footprint for a custom drone build. This QMI8658A/C module worked flawlessly right out of the box. The data output is stable and the noise levels are very low compared to older sensors I've used.
