Excellent value
For the price, you cannot beat this module. It saves the trouble of designing a PCB for a single hall sensor. The PH2.0 cable compatibility is a huge plus for modular builds.

Easy to use for beginners
I am new to electronics and this was easy to hook up. Just connect VCC, GND, and Signal. The voltage changes linearly as I move a magnet closer, exactly as described. Highly recommended for learning.

Good sensitivity, compact size
Great little sensor for detecting magnetic fields in my line-following robot. It's very small which helps save space. Only giving 4 stars because the datasheet link was missing from the package, but standard 49E specs apply.

Solid performance
Using this for a custom throttle control mechanism. The linearity is good enough for my application. Noise levels are low when powered by a regulated 5V supply.

Reliable batch quality
Bought ten of these for a workshop. All units performed consistently with no dead-on-arrival issues. The soldering on the SMD components looks professional and robust.

Perfect for Arduino projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The analog output is smooth and responsive to magnet proximity. The PH2.0 connector makes wiring very clean compared to soldering headers every time.
Q: Does this module output digital or analog signals?
A: This module outputs an analog voltage signal that varies linearly with the strength and polarity of the magnetic field.
Q: What is the pitch of the PH2.0 connector?
A: The connector has a 2.0mm pitch, which is standard for many Grove-compatible and JST PH series cables.
Q: How do I calibrate the zero-point reading?
A: In the absence of a magnetic field, the output should be approximately half of your supply voltage (e.g., 2.5V at 5V input). You can subtract this baseline value in your code to get positive and negative readings relative to the field direction.
Q: Is there a built-in LED indicator on this board?
A: No, this specific 49E linear module does not include an LED indicator. It focuses purely on providing the analog sensor output.
Q: Can I power this directly from a 3.3V pin on an ESP32?
A: Yes, the module supports an operating voltage range of 3.3V to 5V, so it is fully compatible with 3.3V logic systems like the ESP32.
