Good for University Projects

Easy to Integrate

Better than the DHT11
Upgraded from the blue DHT11 sensors and the difference in precision is noticeable immediately. The wider temperature range is exactly what I needed for my weather station project.
Q: Does this module come with a pull-up resistor installed?
A: Yes, most PCB modules include a 10k pull-up resistor on the data line, making it ready to use without extra components.
Q: Is this compatible with Raspberry Pi GPIO pins?
A: Yes, it is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi. Since the Pi uses 3.3V logic and the sensor operates up to 6V, it connects directly without level shifters.
Q: What is the maximum cable length recommended for accurate readings?
A: For reliable digital signal transmission, we recommend keeping the cable length under 20 meters. Using shielded cable is advised for longer distances.
Q: How often can I request a new reading from the sensor?
A: The DHT22 has a sampling rate of 0.5Hz, meaning you should wait at least 2 seconds between consecutive data requests to avoid communication errors.
Q: Can I use this sensor outdoors in the rain?
A: The sensor itself is not waterproof. While the PCB module offers some protection, we recommend placing it inside a ventilated waterproof enclosure for outdoor use.
