Easy to cut to size

Good mechanical filtration
Does a great job catching food debris and fish waste. My water clarity improved within 24 hours. It is slightly thicker than standard pads, so make sure your filter compartment has enough room.

Great value, very soft

Perfect for heavy bioload tanks
I run a tank with large cichlids that produce a lot of waste. This ultra-filtration cotton handles the load beautifully without clogging immediately. The high-density material is a game changer.

A: We recommend rinsing the cotton gently under running tap water or squeezing it in a bucket of tank water to preserve the fiber structure. Machine washing may be too aggressive and could damage the density.

A: Yes, the synthetic fibers are inert and safe for both freshwater and saltwater environments. It does not leach chemicals or alter water parameters.
Q: Does this remove ammonia or nitrates?
A: This product is designed for mechanical filtration, meaning it traps physical debris like dirt and uneaten food. It does not chemically remove ammonia or nitrates; for that, you would need activated carbon or biological media in addition to this cotton.
