Must have for quarantine
Every new fish goes into a quarantine tank with a mild dose of this. It prevents outbreaks in my main display. Very effective against external parasites and fungi.

Saved my Betta!
My betta had severe tail rot and I was worried I would lose him. After following the dosage instructions carefully in a separate hospital tank, his fins started regrowing within a week. Highly recommend keeping this on hand.

Standard reliable treatment
I have used methylene blue for years, and this concentration is perfect. It cleared up the saprolegnia on my angelfish quickly. Make sure to remove carbon from your filter before treating.

Works as described
Successfully treated a case of body rot on one of my cichlids. The water turns very blue, so don't be alarmed. Just follow the directions on the bottle strictly.

Effective but stains everything
The medicine works great for fungal issues on my guppies. Just be very careful not to spill it as it stains silicone and decorations permanently. Use gloves when handling.

Good product, slow shipping
The solution itself worked well for my tetras' minor infections. However, the bottle arrived later than expected, which was stressful since my fish were sick. Product quality is fine though.
Q: Will this treat Ich (White Spot Disease)?
A: Methylene Blue is primarily effective against fungal infections and some external parasites, but it is not the primary treatment for Ich. We recommend specific Ich treatments for white spot disease.
Q: Does this expire after opening?
A: While the shelf life is 24 months unopened, we recommend using the solution within 6 months of opening for maximum potency. Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.
Q: Can I use this directly in my main tank with live plants?
A: We recommend using this product in a separate hospital or quarantine tank. Methylene blue can harm beneficial bacteria in your filter and may stain plant leaves or silicone sealant.
Q: Is this safe for scaleless fish like loaches?
A: Scaleless fish are more sensitive to medications. We advise using half the recommended dose and monitoring them closely, or consulting with a veterinarian specializing in aquatic animals.
Q: What is the correct dosage for a 10-gallon tank?
A: Please refer to the instruction label on the bottle for precise measurements based on volume. Generally, it is added drop by drop until the water reaches a light blue tint, but overdosing can be harmful.
